New York Fellowship
Note: Applications are currently closed. The next funding cycle will open in Fall 2025.
About the Fellowship:
The New York Fellowship is a 6-month program that supports artists and arts and culture professionals from different disciplines. It gives them the chance to:
- Explore and develop their creative work
- Experience the rich and diverse cultural life of New York City and the United States
- Take a meaningful break from their daily routines to focus on personal and professional growth
This is not a residency or a promotional tour. Instead, it’s a time for deep learning, reflection, and cultural exchange.
Program Focus:
The fellowship encourages participants to:
- Understand different cultures and communities in the U.S. through first-hand experience
- Think about how this cultural exchange will impact their work and their communities back home
- Clearly explain why they want to join the program and how they hope it will benefit them and others
Location:
- Fellows usually stay in New York City but can also visit other places in the U.S. during the fellowship
- It’s recommended that Fellows start in NYC for the orientation and to connect with fellow participants and ACC staff
