The 2025 PNG Academic Excellence Scholarship is now open for applications! This prestigious national scholarship aims to support high-achieving students in Papua New Guinea who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and leadership potential.
This program is offered by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) in partnership with leading universities in PNG and abroad.
Scholarship Details:
- Type: Full Tuition + Living Allowance
- Level: Undergraduate & Postgraduate
- Eligible Institutions: Accredited universities in PNG and selected overseas universities
- Field of Study: All disciplines (priority to STEM, Health, and Education)

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a citizen of Papua New Guinea
- GPA of 3.5 or above for undergraduate; 3.7 for postgraduate
- Demonstrated community involvement or leadership
- Proof of admission to a recognized institution
