We invite you to apply for the Master of Science in Tropical Forestry, a two-year, English-taught program at Technische Universität Dresden—one of Germany’s prestigious Universities of Excellence.
Established in 1995, this internationally acclaimed program focuses on the ecological, economic, and social dimensions of tropical forest management. It offers a unique opportunity to study within an international, intercultural, and dynamic environment at the renowned Chair of Tropical and International Forestry. Specializations include tropical ecology, forest and development policy, and resource management.
Throughout the program, you’ll engage with a dedicated academic and research team, with opportunities to conduct supervised fieldwork in tropical and subtropical regions. Building on over 100 years of excellence in forest sciences, the curriculum integrates technical, ecological, and social science perspectives, with strong emphasis on socio-economic and political contexts.
