The UNDP Youth Innovation Grants program is an exciting initiative aimed at empowering young changemakers to develop and implement innovative solutions addressing local and global challenges. The program supports youth-led projects focused on sustainable development, climate action, social entrepreneurship, and community empowerment.

🎓 Benefits:
Selected grantees will receive:

  • Grant funding between USD 5,000–15,000 to launch or scale their project

  • Mentorship from UNDP experts and partners

  • Access to capacity-building workshops and training

  • Opportunities to showcase their projects at UNDP regional or global events

✅ Eligibility:
Applicants must:

  • Be between 18–30 years old

  • Lead or co-lead a youth-led organization, initiative, or startup

  • Submit a project proposal addressing one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • Demonstrate community impact, sustainability, and innovation potential

  • Commit to regular reporting and knowledge-sharing with UNDP

🗓 Deadlines and Timeline:
Calls for proposals typically open between February and March each year, with selections announced in June.

  • Submit an online application form through the UNDP Grants Portal

  • Provide a detailed project description, impact plan, and budget

  • Include references or letters of support from community or institutional partners

  • Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview or pitch presentation
